This six hour parent course is an introduction to the Developmental, Individual Difference, Relationship-Based (DIR/Floortime) Model, developed for children with a wide range of developmental challenges, including autism.
A four evening program presented by Kathleen A. Platzman, Ph.D. and Mary Beth Stark, M.S.CCC-SLP
Parents will learn about:
- Developmental capacities that support relating, communicating, and thinking Individual differences that can strengthen or constrict functioning
- Relationship as an integral part of a strategic approach to support development
Courses are ongoing and occur on Wednesday nights from 7:30 until 9:00. Minimum class size is four families. New courses begin once at least four families have registered.
