What is DIR/Floortime?

The DIR/Floortime model is a broad framework for understanding how development occurs, how emotions relate to learning, and how one can best interact with a child to foster growth in social-emotional and cognitive areas. The model is also frequently applied in the context of supporting older children, adolescents, and adults, and is considered a “lifespan” approach.
